VelaRose Farmers Day - 25 May 2017
Yesterday a step
was made in the right direction for the future of South
African agriculture. 25 May 2017 on the VelaRose farm,
Koppies district Free State, Mr Velaphi Ratshefola became
the first African farmer to host his own Farmers Day in
South Africa. Mr Ratshefola, Simmentaler breeder and
Managing Director at Coca Cola Beverages (CCBSA), hosted an
informative day with talks on the basics of farm management,
veterinary advice, land reform, practical cattle viewing and
breeding. This was a splendidly organised event, with
farmers from different cultures coming together to learn
from each other what they all have a passion for - farming!
We would like to
congratulate everyone involved on a successful day and look
forward to see what you have in store for 2018. We’re proud

On 10 August 2017,
the VelaRose Simmentaler Production Sale will be the first
South African production sale to be held by an African
farmer, so don’t miss out on more history being made.
